Job Description: On-Site Supervisor for Roofing

Position Overview:

The On-Site Supervisor for Roofing is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of roofing projects at the job site. This includes coordinating with workers, ensuring safety protocols are followed, maintaining project timelines, and ensuring the quality of workmanship meets company standards. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of roofing systems, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Supervision:

• Oversee daily roofing operations on-site to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.

• Monitor and manage roofing crews, subcontractors, and other personnel.

2. Quality Assurance:

• Inspect ongoing and completed work to ensure it meets company and industry standards.

• Identify and address any issues related to materials, workmanship, or compliance.

3. Safety Compliance:

• Enforce safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

• Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure proper use of equipment and protective gear.

4. Coordination and Communication:

• Serve as the main point of contact between the project manager, clients, and on-site workers.

• Communicate project updates, challenges, and solutions to relevant stakeholders.

5. Materials Management:

• Oversee the delivery, storage, and use of materials on-site.

• Ensure accurate inventory and minimize waste.

6. Problem-Solving:

• Quickly address and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise during the project.

• Adapt to changing weather conditions or unexpected project delays.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain daily logs of work performed, hours worked, and any incidents.

• Prepare progress reports and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in roofing installation and project supervision.

• Strong knowledge of various roofing systems (e.g., asphalt shingles, metal roofing, flat roofing).

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and other safety standards.

• Proficiency in using basic computer programs for reporting and communication.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in construction or roofing-related fields.

• Bilingual skills (e.g., English/Spanish).

Work Environment:

• Primarily outdoor work, exposed to varying weather conditions.

• Physical activity including climbing, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

Schedule:

• Full-time, typically Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work depending on project needs.

This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented leader who can ensure roofing projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Pay: Salary Base

55k-65k: Base on experience
